AMD stands for Advanced Micro Devices. It is an American multinational semiconductor company based in Santa Clara, California. It was founded by Jerry Sanders, Jack Gifford, and John Carey. AMD brought together the 7nm process with the Zen 2 architecture to give it 31% more performance in per-core-performance.
